📖 The Lines (爻辭 / Yaoci)
- Line 1 初九Bottom line (1st) · Yang祀事遄往，無咎，酌損之。Finishing one's own affairs, go quickly; no fault; but weigh how much to reduce.
- Line 2 九二2nd line · Yang利貞，征凶，弗損益之。Steadfastness is beneficial; going forth brings misfortune; without diminishing oneself, one increases others.
- Line 3 六三3rd line · Yin三人行，則損一人；一人行，則得其友。When three people walk together, one is lost; when one walks alone, he finds a companion.
- Line 4 六四4th line · Yin損其疾，使遄有喜，無咎。Reducing one's ailment, making haste to find joy; no fault.
- Line 5 六五5th line · Yin或益之，十朋之龜弗克違，元吉。Someone adds to it; even a tortoise oracle worth ten pairs of shells cannot oppose it: supreme good fortune.
- Line 6 上九Top line (6th) · Yang弗損益之，無咎，貞吉，利有攸往，得臣無家。Increasing others without diminishing oneself: no fault, steadfastness brings good fortune; it is beneficial to undertake something. One gains servants without a private household.
