- 第1爻 初六初六 · 陰爻鼎顛趾，利出否，得妾以其子，無咎。The cauldron overturned with feet up: it is beneficial to clear out the stagnant; one takes a concubine for the sake of her son; no fault.
- 第2爻 九二九二 · 陽爻鼎有實，我仇有疾，不我能即，吉。The cauldron is full; my adversary is ailing and cannot approach me: good fortune.
- 第3爻 九三九三 · 陽爻鼎耳革，其行塞，雉膏不食，方雨虧悔，終吉。The cauldron's handles are altered; it cannot be moved; the pheasant fat is not eaten. Rain falls and regret fades: in the end good fortune.
- 第4爻 九四九四 · 陽爻鼎折足，覆公餗，其刑渥，凶。The cauldron's leg is broken; the prince's meal is spilled; the punishment is severe: misfortune.
- 第5爻 六五六五 · 陰爻鼎黃耳金鉉，利貞。The cauldron has yellow handles and golden carrying rings; steadfastness is beneficial.
- 第6爻 上九上九 · 陽爻鼎玉鉉，大吉，無不利。The cauldron has jade carrying rings: supreme good fortune; nothing is unfavorable.
