- Line 1 初九Bottom line (1st) · Yang遇其配主，雖旬無咎，往有尚。Meeting his destined ruler; even for ten days no fault; going forth brings esteem.
- Line 2 六二2nd line · Yin豐其蔀，日中見斗，往得疑疾，有孚發若，吉。The curtain is made so thick that the Dipper is seen at noon; going leads to suspicion and illness; if sincerity stirs the heart: good fortune.
- Line 3 九三3rd line · Yang豐其沛，日中見沬，折其右肱，無咎。The screen is made thicker; at noon small stars are seen; he breaks his right arm; no fault.
- Line 4 九四4th line · Yang豐其蔀，日中見斗，遇其夷主，吉。The curtain is thick; the Dipper is seen at noon; he meets his equal ruler: good fortune.
- Line 5 六五5th line · Yin來章，有慶譽，吉。Brilliance comes; there is celebration and praise: good fortune.
- Line 6 上六Top line (6th) · Yin豐其屋，蔀其家，窺其戶，闃其無人，三歲不觌，凶。His house is made great, his family covered by a screen; peering through the door, it is silent, no one is there; for three years he is not seen: misfortune.
